REPORT ON KERALA PIRAVI DAY CELEBRATION

Kerala Piravi day was celebrated in Fathima Memorial Training College on Nov.1st, the 58th birthday of our state Kerala. The state of Kerala was created on November 1, 1956. November 1 is therefore known as Kerala Piravi Dinam (day) in the state. Malayalee’s around the world celebrate November 1 as Kerala Piravi, which in Malayalam “the birthday of Kerala”
     As per the usual format, it was started with a prayer song. Principal Dr Anitha.L inaugurated the function and deliver a short message to the students. The vice Principal Dr Mini K.S presided over the function and spoke about the importance of Malayalam language, in which she used to mention lot of Malayalam movie song which recalls the true beauty of our native land. Mrs Charutha, college union chairperson also address the audience on occasion. Romeo had done the comparer role very well. He used different poetical statements to inter connect different part of the function. All the staffs and students of the college had worn Kerala traditional dress, was made the day more special and memorable. Song which proclaim the beauty of Kerala provides more colours and life to the entire programme. The whole programme was organised by college union.

FIELD VISIT TO PRIYADARSHINI PLANETARIUM

Planning As a part of 1 st semester B.Ed curriculum we ought to visit a filed, which should be closely related to the optional subject, the physical science. To fix the place, we conducted a meeting with our class teacher. By considering the majority opinion, we decide to visit ‘Priyadarshini’ Planetarium, Trivandrum. And after we fixed the date of visit and inform the higher authority. Principal granted the permission and provide some valuable instructions. Preparation             As a preparation, we collect some data regarded to the ‘Priyadarshini’ Planetarium, which include the show timings, duration, bus route etc. then we planed the trip time and booked a tourist bus. We informed the details to every parent and requested other teachers support. AZAADI -70 REPORT

Freedom in the Mind Faith in the Words Pride in our Soul The “AZAADI-70” - Independence was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Fathima Memorial Training College, Pallimukk, Kollam. As part of ‘Azaadi-70’ we celebrated the ‘Quit India’ on august 9 th in our college. On that day apart from the usual formats of morning assembly, Divya of Natural Science option shared her perspectives and views about the ‘Quit India movements’ and the freedom struggles. She effectively mentioned the necessity of commitments of the current generation towards the country and through her speech she was able to make aware our students about the sacrifice in the freedom struggle and about the needs of nation building. On august 15, ceremony started at 9AM in college open ground with large crowd of staff and students.
